Thoughts
- Marriage is a lot like gardening. If you want a plant to grow, you've got to dig around it a bit, weed it, water it, fertilize it.
If you take good care of it, it'll grow beautiful flowers and luscious fruit. if you don't take care of it, it'll die.
- To struggle and strive and push and drive, takes all the fun out of one's life.
Memories re. pets:
- my brothers had --- white mice, fish, a bird (budgie), a dog, rabbits
- I had --- turtles, tree frogs, toads, salamanders, snakes, a chameleon, white mice, hamsters, cats
- since growing up and getting married, this family has had --- cats, rabbits, fish (and we took care of a guinea pig for a friend, once)
